How do I bring The Positive Painting Project to my school or organization?

  • Just email us at info@paintpositive.org, list your name and the name of your organization, when you're looking to hold an event, and when would be a good time to discuss planning your event.

How does a Positive Painting Project event typically work?

  • You can hold a Positive Painting Project event one of two ways: 

  1. Canvas Panels

    1. Your participants paint backgrounds onto canvas panels.

    2. We collect your finished paintings from you and screen print them with one of our six positive messages for mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Turn around time is typically 6-8 weeks.

    3. We return your canvases back to you to display in any manner you choose.

  2. Pre-printed Card-stock Canvases

    1. Go to our Merchandise page and select "Prints & Paintings".

    2. Your artists can then paint them with water-colors or decorate them with brush markers, colored pencils, or crayons! Laminating them afterward is optional for the latter but highly recommended for watercolor paintings. 

    3. Your artists' creations are ready for display as soon as they're done painting. No waiting for screen-printing and they look FANTASTIC! See video here!

Is there a charge for having the paintings screen printed by The Positive Painting Project?

  • No. There is NO FEE for us to screen print your paintings unless there are shipping charges. You can also choose to have your paintings pre-printed, each with one our six messages of hope by choosing the "Pre-printed Card-stock" option below.

Can I hold The Positive Painting Project from Out-of-Town?

  • Yes! In-town or Out of Town, The Positive Painting Project can spread hope ANYWHERE! Just visit our Merchandise Page and select how many packs you'll need and we'll send you high quality white 12" x 12" card-stock already printed with our six messages of hope! They look FANTASTIC! See video here!

  • Here's how: 

  1. Go to our Merchandise page and select "Prints & Paintings".

  2. Select "One Set of 30 Prints, B&W" and Add to Cart (one set includes 5 of each message).

  3. Change the quantity to the number of sets of prints you'd like and Checkout! We'll ship them straight to you.

  4. Your artists can then paint them with water-colors or decorate them with brush markers, colored pencils, or crayons! Laminating them afterward is optional for the latter but highly recommended for watercolor paintings. 


 

Do we purchase the supplies ourselves or does The Positive Painting Project provide them?

  • We highly encourage you to purchase your own supplies but we make it very easy by sending you a complete list of steps with direct links of exactly what to purchase and steps describing how to hold an event from the planning to displaying your final work.


 

How much do supplies typically cost?

  • It's VERY affordable. Most events cost less than $5 per painter. 


 

Do The Positive Painting Project representatives attend the school or organizational events in person?

  • We always try to attend events in person if possible but our attendance isn't a necessary part of holding a wonderful and meaningful event. It's the students and participants who make these events successful. We also offer several videos on our MEDIA page to introduce and explain the project to your group.


 

Can we request that The Positive Painting Project run our event in person and bring all of the necessary supplies?

  • We will try to accomodate these requests if possible. Our suggested donation amount for such an event is $10-20 per participant.
